General Terms and Conditions of Sale of the Caves de Grenelle Online Shop

These general terms and conditions of sale (GTCs) are concluded between the company Caves de Grenelle and any individual or legal entity wishing to make a purchase via the website.

Any order placed using the website by a Customer implies that the Customer accepts the following GTCs without reservation. In particular, these GTCs specify the terms for orders, payment, delivery and any possible returns of bottles of wine ordered on our online shop. Any order placed using the website and paid for online by credit card (secure online payment) will be automatically confirmed as soon as possible by an order confirmation e-mail.


The wines for sale on our online shop are presented in such a way that the buyer is given detailed information about the characteristics of the wines they choose before ordering them. We ensure the descriptions of our bottles of wine are as accurate as possible. However, if there are any errors in this respect, our online shop cannot be held responsible. The photos of the wines do not constitute a contractual agreement in any way. Caves de Grenelle cannot be held liable for these photos and they shall not affect any orders already placed. The wines and other promotional offers available on the online shop at are only valid while stocks last. If a specific vintage is out of stock, Caves de Grenelle reserves the right to offer the same product in the next available vintage.


The retail prices of the wines are given in euros (€) with all taxes included (EUR TTC).

The cost of delivery is set at a flat rate according to the quantities ordered. The prices of the wines may change at any time in accordance with our pricing policy. Naturally, the products ordered are charged at the price in force at the time the order is placed.

The prices shown for the wines are only valid in metropolitan France. The invoice is considered valid and accepted by the customer unless a contrary opinion is submitted by registered letter within the 5 days after it is received by the addressee, with the postmark serving as proof of the date posted.


All orders placed on our online shop are payable by credit card and in euros only. If customers download and use the order form, payment can then be made by cheque. The wines remain the property of Caves de Grenelle until full payment has been made. In the event of non-payment or if payment authorization is declined by the payment processor, Louis de Grenelle reserves the right to refuse to honour an order.


Wines purchased on the website are currently only available for delivery in metropolitan France.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday.

Deliveries usually arrive in 8 days. However, delivery times are given as an indication only and cannot exceed the legal limit of 30 days from the day after the buyer has placed their order. Orders are delivered to the buyer's home address or to any address indicated by the buyer at the time of ordering, as of order receipt or payment.

The goods are considered delivered on the date on which the buyer first receives the goods. The goods shall be handed over once the customer receiving the goods has signed the delivery note. The customer is obligated to check the conformity of the goods delivered upon their arrival before signing the delivery note. Any irregularities concerning the delivery (damage, missing product from the delivery note, damaged parcel, broken products...) must be indicated on the delivery note as handwritten notes, accompanied by the customer’s signature. Caves de Grenelle cannot be held responsible for any delay or delivery issues due to strikes, lack of a truck or rail carriage, fire and in all cases of force majeure or unforeseeable circumstances, war or internal disturbances. Caves de Grenelle does not cover the consequences of frost. An invoice issued by Caves de Grenelle will be sent to the buyer at their billing address.


Buyers, as non-professional individuals, benefit from a 14-day withdrawal period from the delivery of their order pursuant to Article L.121-1 of the French Consumer Code. Within this period, the buyer may return the product(s) delivered, in good condition and with the original invoice, at their own expense for an exchange or refund.

Minors and legal capacity

Order No. 59-107 of 7 January 1959 and Law No.74-631 of 5 July 1974 prohibit the sale and supply of alcohol to persons under the age of 18.

Consequently, by ordering from the online shop, you confirm that you are of legal drinking age and have the legal capacity to complete this transaction.

Applicable Law – Disputes

The interpretation and execution of these terms and conditions of sale, as well as all acts resulting from them, shall be governed by French law.

In the event of disputes, the competent courts shall only be those of Saumur (49), unless Caves de Grenelle prefers to bring the matter before any other competent court, in particular at the Customer's address or the location to which the goods were delivered.
